Burmese Dream
Twenty years ago, my Dad bravely moved our family of six halfway across the globe to a country called Burma. Current day, I am sitting on a balcony in this sacred country, now called Myanmar, drinking Burmese red wine with my wife, reflecting on the changes that have occurred here since my youth.
Myanmar is so unique and diverse. It's impossible to collect all of its culture on film. But the above video is our attempt.
The International School of Yangon shaped my views of the world as 5th grade student. So when we were asked by Collective Humanity, an Austin based non-profit, to fly across the world and meet makers and artisans in Southeast Asia, we were on a plane two months later.
